ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Bamang Felix on Sunday exuded confidence that the people will repose their faith in the BJP in the simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state, due this year. People will vote keeping in view the unprecedented development in the past nine-and-a-half years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reckoned Felix on the sidelines of a reception and interaction programme at Palin in Kra Daadi district.

The minister admitted that there is a lot of work to be done in the district, and the ‘Team Kra Daadi’ is committed to taking the district forward. Congratulating the newly appointed Kra Daadi unit BJP president, Taku Kaha, Felix thanked the state party president, Biyuram Wahge, for appointing a veteran leader, Kaha. He asked the party workers to work hard to strengthen the party at the grassroots. When asked about the Palin Road, he said the state government has already released funds. The work could not start as an investigation was going on, he said. He said the road construction work would be completed before the ensuing elections. The minister said the government is likely to sanction the road project near Don Bosco School in Palin very soon.

The file is under process, and it will be sanctioned soon, Felix added. The newly appointed district BJP president, Taku Kaha, thanked the party leadership for showing faith in him. He assured that he would work to strengthen the party in the district. Among others, MLAs Jikke Tako and Balo Raja, state unit BJP vice president Tarh Tarak, Arunachal unit Kreeda Bharati president Takam Tatung, and Sports Authority of Arunachal chairman Byabang Taj were present on the occasion.
