ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra has asked State Health and Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang to popularize the Anglo-Adi war trail at Kekar Monying in Siang district, a historically important site of confrontation between the British and the Adis in 1911.

Appreciating the ongoing construction of Anglo-Adi war trail along with an epitaph, the Governor said that it should be properly built and reflected in the Lok Sabha by State MPs as it is a proud history of Arunachalee independent fighters.

Alo Libang, who called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Monday, apprised him of the Covid-19 pandemic situation of the State in details, including about the ongoing vaccination drive. The Governor directed him to intensify vaccination in Capital Complex Region due to rising cases of Covid-19.

The Governor, while emphasizing on strict adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour in the State, added that it was the duty of every citizen to follow the advisory of the State to face the onslaught of the pandemic. "With public cooperation and concerted effort, we will overcome this pandemic challenge," he said.

The Governor also enquired about Covid treatment centres and quarantine facilities and assured the minister his personal contribution wherever required.

Dr B D Mishra also discussed with the minister the matter regarding revamping of the Regional Mental Hospital at Midpu, near here, and expediting the approval of the Centre for the sanction and construction of the Artificial Limb Manufacturing Centre in the State. Libang assured the Governor to inspect the Regional Mental Hospital at the earliest and take up the case of the Artificial Limb Manufacturing Centre.
