The court of Special Judge Tage Halley at Basar in Leparada district has sentenced Bombe alias Bombay Riba (25) to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 20 years and to pay a fine of Rs 3,000, on May 6 last, official sources informed here on Wednesday.

In case of default to pay the fine, the court ordered one more year of imprisonment for the convict.

The accused has also been convicted and sentenced to undergo three years of imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs one thousand under section 363 of IPC and further imprisonment of six month in case he fail to pay the fine amount.
