“Power supply to the districts of West Siang, Siang, Upper Siang, East Siang, Lower Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Namsai will be disrupted completely or partially during the shutdown period depending upon availability of alternate source,” power department Superintending Engineer (SE) informed in a communique here on Thursday.

“The shutdown is subject to weather condition at Daporijo,” he added. The SE further added that the 165th OCC of NERPC has approved the shutdown on request of the department for carrying out major repair of tower No. DATL 003 of Daporijo-Aalo 132 KV segment of transmission line which is being endangered by soil erosion.
