ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Service Authority (APSLSA) and Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Association (APWWA) organized a one-day legal awareness on child and women rights and victim’s compensation schemes at Arunodaya Government Higher School on Friday.
Students, teachers and social workers from different organization attended the programme. Speaking to reporters, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC), capital complex said that the organization is mostly targeting the schools to create awareness on child and women rights but also on drug abuse among the young children.
“There is a race of sexual offence in various schools and therefore the organization is also looking in the aspects of mental health of the students,” she said while adding that the future plan of the all the organization is to organize more such awareness programmes in the entire school of the capital complex.
She also informed that, as far as awareness on district levels, the affiliated NGO and the district CWC is hitting hard to create awareness among the students especially on drug abuse.
