Quiz competition among students of various colleges held at Roing

ROING: A quiz competition amongst the students of various colleges and institutions of higher education was organized under the SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) programme by the District Election Office (DEO), Roing, on Thursday.

The students of Jomin Tayeng Government Degree College, DIET Roing, Government Polytechnic College, and Kasturba Gandhi B.Ed. College participated in the said quiz competition. The event has been organized to spread awareness and promote voter literacy among the new, young voters in the district.

SVEEP activities aim at preparing the young electorate and equipping them with the basic knowledge related to the electoral process. A detailed schedule and action plan under the SVEEP activities to be conducted in the district focusing on school and college students, especially the new voters, had been prepared. Many literary events will be organized in the district in the coming days.
