Rajiv Gandhi University, RFRF Signs MoU to Further Research

Itanagar: The Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) here and Nagpur-based Research For Resurgence Foundation (RFRF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a collaborative endeavour towards furthering cooperation in research and education and developing a combined structure while creating a synergy towards strengthening and streamlining research in scientific and technology development, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in an academically mutually benefitting way.

The MoU was signed by Rajiv Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha and Secretary, RFRF, Mukul Kanitkar at the Rono Hills campus of the varsity recently, a press release informed here on Friday.

The MoU aims at providing new avenues for access, sharing and developing technical know-how between the two institutions in the field of research.

The RGU VC termed it a welcome step and expressed his optimism that the MoU will be action oriented and result yielding.

In the sideline of the MoU signing, the RFRF Secretary said that a time framed and evaluation based performance will be executed jointly with the start of a planned awareness programme in the nearest future.

Registrar in-charge of RGU Dr David Pertin while reading out the gist of the MoU spoke on the importance of the joint venture in the present context and termed it as a very promising one.

Among others, RGU’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Amitava Mitra, Dean Faculty of Social Science Prof Tana Showren, Dean Faculty of Languages Prof Oken Lego, heads of various departments and officers witnessed the signing of the MoU, the release added.
