Itanagar: The Rajiv Gandhi University on Friday added another feather by upgrading the medical facilities in the university health centre, with the installation of a new facility to the existing clinical laboratory in a simple function held in the varsity campus at Rono Hills, near here.
Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha dedicated three brand new auto analyzers which include fully automated hematology analyzer 5 part, biochemistry auto analyzer and hormonal assay auto analyzer to the service of the community.
The VC informed that many campus dweller friendly medical schemes would also be launched with a target to provide basic minimum medical facilities to all.
Senior medical officer of the health centre Dr Akin Tana Tara informed the gathering that the facilities brought in for over 18 lakh would immensely benefit the campus dwellers and people in the periphery.
Among other present in the programme includes the visiting Academic & Administrative Audit Pre NAAC visiting experts Prof Brinchi Kumar Das, Prof Niranjan Roy and Prof Ajanta Borgohain Rajkhowa besides pro-vice chancellor of RGU Prof Amitava Mitra, Registrar in-Charge Prof Tomo Riba, Finance Officer in-Charge Prof Otem Padung, Controller of Examinations Dr Nani Tamang Jose and others, a press release informed here.
