BORDUMSA: The long-pending ration cards under general household category for beneficiaries of Bordumsa segment in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh were distributed here at the conference hall of the ADC on Tuesday afternoon.
Bordumsa (Independent) MLA Somlung Mossang and Minga Sherpa, ADC, Bordumsa Sub Division handed over ration cards to 14 beneficiaries out of 368 approved holders. Panloa Atta, CS Singpho, Arjun Mura, Anthony Mossang were among the public leaders beside the beneficiaries attending the programme.
"The ration cards lying pending since 2016 for the beneficiaries of the subdivision would be distributed in a phased manners", said Gumnong Singpho, the Sub Divisional Food and Civil Officer. "We have distributed to 14 persons today from various communities of Bordumsa and the process would be continue for the remaining 354 beneficiaries in a phased manner," said the official.
Appreciating the local and district administration for accelerating the process, Mossang said that the government of Arunachal Pradesh has been very instrumental in taking all round care for it's people amidst it's battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
"My family rely on seasoned agricultural operation with uncertain outputs. It is indeed tough to maintain family stability in lean seasons without assured rice and other grains," said Purnima Sonowal a beneficiary from Podumoni village.
