ITANAGAR: The aspirants of the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) recruitment test-2022 examination conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) have lodged an FIR against the Deputy Secretary-cum-Deputy Controller of Examination Taket Jerang with the Special Investigation Cell (SIC).
The aspirants, while claiming various anomalies in the recruitment process, have demanded the cancellation and re-conduct of the examination conducted on August 7 last at the earliest.
Addressing the media at the press club here on Monday, one of the aspirants, Leena Sora informed that she has lodged an FIR against the APPSC Deputy Secretary-cum-Deputy Controller of Examination Taket Jerang on October 5, 2022, but unfortunately, the SIC has not registered the logged FIR till date.
She said the FIR was filed as the aspirants suspected foul play in the process of conducting and declaring the PGT recruitment result.
"Surprisingly, the examination was conducted under the APPSC Deputy Secretary Taket Jerang, who is one of the main accused in the APPSC AE (Civil), 2022 examination paper-leak fiasco," she added.
She said that the recent APPSC AE (Civil) examination paper leak case has confirmed all doubts of foul play in the process of the conduct of the PGT recruitment test-2022 because Jerang had leaked the examination paper.
"This clearly indicates that Jerang could and must have leaked the paper of the PGT exam too. Moreover, the results were declared overall without mention of any particular subject or ratio," she said, adding that the commission also has not disclosed the selection of candidates in each subject to date.
She said a total of 1,179 candidates were selected for the main examination but it should be 1,128 candidates as per the 1:12 ratio. "Therefore, we demand cancellation and re-conduct, a SIC probe of the PGT recruitment test-2022," she added.
