Reserve Bank of India sub-office in Itanagar on the anvil

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Monday had a fruitful meeting with the Regional Director of NE Region of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Sanjeev Singha, along with his team of senior officials at his official residence here.

The meeting was held in connection with the setting up of a sub-office of RBI here, through which the central bank of the country would be leveraging its operations in Arunachal Pradesh, especially financial inclusion, literacy and awareness programmes.

During the meeting, Mein assured to extend all support and cooperation from the State Government for early establishment of the sub-office in the State capital.

Among others, PHED & Water Supply Minister Wangki Lowang, Planning Commissioner Prashant Lokhande, Finance Secretary YW Ringu, Deputy General Manager of RBI Guwahati Saba Shaikh, Assistant General Manager Ritesh Kumar, AGM Nabin Khakhlary and Manager Nimeet Kumar Garg were also present in the meeting, an official communiqué informed.
