PANGIN: Lawmaker Ojing Tasing, Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk along with other officials visited the proposed road construction site from Kebang Radha to Kebang Sole village via Kebang Bangku (old Kebang) to ascertain the alignment of the road on Tuesday. Bangku is a valley located at the top of Dokong Mountain, where people of Kebang village migrated since ages. It was also the village where the British set houses on fire during the last Anglo-Abor War. Stating that historically Kebang Bangku is an important place which needs to be redeveloped, Tasing assured to develop Kebang (Bangku) from his end and contributed Rs 3 crore from his LAD Fund. In this regard, he asked all the HoDs to have proper planning for its development. He also asked each and everyone to maintain quality works for better development of the area.
