Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp Conducted At Ziro

ZIRO: Minister for Education, Cultural and Indigenous Affairs Taba Tedir inaugurated the Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp and inspected all the stalls set up by the various departments and interacted with HoDs and the staff at Yazali general ground on Tuesday. He advised the officials to create awareness on the government policies and programmes besides providing services to the people.

While interacting with the Textile and Handicraft department officials he took note of the mulberry cultivation for silkworms and advised Joint Director Hage Tatan to popularize it as the returns in terms of product and cost are much reliable than other commercial plants.

The mulberry leaves have medicinal value and can be consumed not only by the silkworm and animals but humans as well, he revealed.

“The SAD camp is one of the pet projects of the Pema Khandu government and has been able to bring the government machinery closer to the people. I exhort all the public to avail the benefits and be informed about all the government policies and programmes,” Tedir said .

Later he also distributed yarns to 10 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Bunkar Yojana and gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana.

The PHE department also distributed water testing kits to beneficiaries. Progressive farmer’s registration was carried out under the Horticulture and Agriculture departments besides providing seeds and farming implements. The general administration provided 368 essential government certificates.

The District Health Society (DHS) set up a medical camp where eye screening, Ayush health camp, free NCD screening for body pressure, sugar, etc., and awareness on coronavirus were carried out. The camp organized under the supervision of ADC Yachuli JT Obi and CO Yazali TW Thongdok provided services to the nearby villages of Pitapool, Chulyu, Tago, Poosa and NEEPCO.

Among others Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar accompanied the minister.
