BORDUMSA: As the state of Arunachal Pradesh is gradually heading towards the Assembly poll slated for early 2024, Bordumsa Independent MLA Somlung Mossang has been reportedly gaining momentum, with people cutting across party affiliations lending spontaneous support to their popular legislator.

In a similar bid to strengthen the base of the independent MLA, like-minded elderly people, including male and female, along with the youth section of Innao-Sengmai village under Dyiun circle have formally joined hands with Mossang during a formal programme held at his residence at Gidding-Balijan in Bordumsa.

“What made us finally decide to join the incumbent MLA of 49 Bordumsa-Diyun constituency is the secular, generous, and pro-development outlook of the leader, who is always found standing beside his subjects at all times’, said Suwona Pangyok, a youth leader of the Sengmai village. ‘Being in the opposition during the last election, we had been observing him closely in regard to the extent of his seriousness to bring about the balanced growth and development of the people and the constituency”, added Pangyok while citing his satisfaction with the overall performance of the Mossang over a period of his four years of tenure.

“The people of Sengmai village were immensely happy to see how Mossang, realizing his responsibility, cancelled all his agendas and rushed to attend a fire incident site at Sengmai Buddha vihara on April 15 within a few hours and instantly announced the construction of a new vihara along with immediate financial assistance, along with sharing the tragedy by attending the grief-stricken villagers,” said Nangkingtra Pangyok, an elderly woman of the village.

Meanwhile, welcoming the new members into his team with felicitations, the MLA Mossang said that the people’s constant love and blessings have been a source of motivation for him to work with enhanced zeal for the people of the constituency.
