ITANAGAR, Aug 28 : The Senki View Colony Welfare Committee (SCWC) lauded the Capital Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan for banning of bathing, washing of clothes, use of detergent, organizing of picnic and late night party and other activities in and around Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Senki View area of Itanagar which is one of the best sources of the drinking water for the Itanagar township as a safety of WTP and would save the precious life of youths from drowning.

In a letter addressed to the Capital Deputy Commissioner the Senki View Colony welfare committee (SCWC) President Kipa Lolgo and General Secretary Kale Cheda have appreciated the act of the Capital District administration led by DC Prince Dhawan for promptly acting upon the genuine grievance of the local people. The safety of WTP and drinking water supply, the banning will also save the precious life of the youths who were earlier unnecessary ventured in the banks of the river and also completely halted the late night picnic and movement of anti social element in the area.

Meanwhile Capital DC informed this daily that on August 27 a letter No-DC/ICC/JUD-01/2017-18 have been written to PHED Executive Engineer, Itanagar that the matter of providing security of WTP was discussed in the Board Proceeding at the office of the ADC Itanagar on June 29 last, the rate for two category of private security have been finalized for lathimen and gunmen respectively. He asked the requirement of lathimen and gunmen for the Senki View WTP with two month salary being the security and salary in advance for the deployment. He said that that administration is also very concern about several incident taken place and also with regard to contemination of water at the upper ride of the senki river near WTP which relates with the health of the common people. Police security have already been provided and private security will be deployed soon. Dhawan added.
