Shops sealed at Seppa for selling commodities above Maximum Retail Price

SEPPA: A team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dahey Sangno and members of East Kameng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EKCCI) raided and sealed shops for selling commodities above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) here at Seppa on Saturday last.

In complete violation of Legal Metrology Act, at least 12 shops were found selling cold drinks illegally above the MRP.

The shops were sealed on the ground of overpricing.

Meanwhile, the East Kameng Social Welfare & Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) and people of the district have lauded the step and action taken by the district administration.
