ITANAGAR: Keeping in view the surge of COVID-19 infection in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, the administration in order to control the rush in State Bank of India (SBI) at Aalo, the district headquarters, has erected a waiting shed for the customers for maintaining social distance and to protect them from the adversities of weather.
The waiting shed was erected in front of the bank on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi while visiting the site on Monday said that the shed has been put up for maintaining social distancing among the people coming to the bank besides providing comfort from sun and rain as well in the monsoon season.
The shed is regulated by police and advisories are in place for the people to follow the norms.
The construction works of the shed was done by the auxiliary labour corps (ALC) of the district administration under the supervison of district disaster management officer (DDMO) NimaDorjee.
