LIKHABALI: State BJP president Biyuram Wahge, who is on a two-day tour to the Lower Siang district, inaugurated the District Planning Office (DPO), OPD of the AYUSH office, and also inspected other development projects in the district on Wednesday. He also attended the singing reality show, 'Voice of Lower Siang' held at Chidu Chigo ground near here.
Wahge was accompanied by party general secretary Zignu Namchoom, MLA Kardo Nyigyor, MLA Kento Rina, Deputy Commissioner Marto Riba, District ZPC Marpe Nguba, and others during the day.
Speaking to the reporters, Wahge said that he is impressed with the public of the district for their dedication and the culture of 'No compromise' in any development project work being executed in the district. He said that the DPO building has been beautifully constructed with an amount of Rs 50 lakh only.
He said that the executing department and the district administration have properly utilized the fund by constructing proper offices, which is very rare to see in many other places.
"We should learn from this and not use the Government funds lavishly. It's our duty to ensure that Government funds are properly utilized wherever needed for the betterment of the district and the benefit of the public," he said.
Likewise, progress of work on the district hospital is in full swing and hopefully will be completed by the end of this year, he said. Overall, every development project in the district is being properly implemented as well as monitored by the concerned legislators and district administration.
"I also appreciate the district administration and respective MLA for upgrading and maintaining the beauty and sanctity of 'Malinithan temple'. Every facility, from resting place for the visitors, markets, parking space, etc., is well provided for the devotees," he added.
Wahge also said that the youths of the district are blessed with singing talent. With proper guidance, the talent can reach the highest level as has been done by singing sensation Rito Riba. On the sidelines, Wahge also mourned the sudden demise of Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi.
