LEKHI: The Kreeda Bharti unit of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task (APCT), organized a Surya Namaskar programme to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence at Seva Dham near here on Monday.

Speaking to the reporters, APCT president Tana Tagru Tara said that it is a week-long programme organized under the banner of Kreeda Bharti to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

He said Surya Namaskar is a perfect medium to remain fit and healthy. Therefore, people should incorporate yoga for a healthy life.

"It is not necessary that one should participate in such programmes, they can also do so at their respective homes. Any person interested can come to the Seva dham to make the best use of yoga," he said, informing that the celebration is also being organized in the entire country.

He also informed that the final day of the week-long program will be held at IG Park, Itanagar, where the Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung will participate.

Meanwhile, the State unit of Kreeda Bharti president Takam Tatung informed that Kreeda Bharati is an Indian sports organization formed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which has giving training of physical and mental sports to citizens of the country, especially the youth. It was established in 1992.

He also said that more activities, including traditional games in the State, will be organized by the State unit in future by the support of the public as well as well wishers.
