Swetika Sachan Inaugurated Child Protection Unit Office At Aalo

Itanagar: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan has inaugurated the new office of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) in presence of CDPO Bahi Koyu, CDPO at Aalo, the district headquarters. While interacting with officers and officials of the department of women and child development, the DC advised all to discharge duty related to child dedicatedly as it deals with vulnerable section of the society. She also inspected offices of CDPO Aalo East and West and interacted with Anganwadi Workers (AWW). She appreciates the department for successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), a PM flagship scheme and other schemes implemented by the department.

The DC directed CDPOs to identify a few Anganwadi centres as model centres and assured to extent support for making Anganwadi centres vibrant and attractive.

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Aalo established under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000 deals with children in need of care and protection under Child Welfare Committee and children/Juvenile in Conflict with Law under Juvenile Justice Board, an official communiqué informed here on Thursday.
