Itanagar: Education Minister Taba Tedir on Tuesday appealed all stakeholders to extend support without creating any hurdles for early completion of the Joram-Koloriang stretch of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH).
Addressing the local people on the occasion of laying of foundation stone of the newly created circle headquarter at Loth under Yachuli Assembly constituency in Lower Subansiri district, Tedir said that any important development could take place only if the local people extend support.
He urged upon all section of the society to support the road construction in the district.
Referring to his promises made in the election manifesto, Tedir said that establishment of circle officer headquarters at Loth was in the election agenda which has been cleared.
He also announced an amount of Rs 50 lakh from his MLA local area development fund for construction of the CO office.
Tedir said that the state government has started pre-board examination and attendance of students should be 70 per cent or else they would not be allowed to sit in the examination. Pointing out at the transfer and posting of teachers policy of the state government, the minister informed the people that there would be provision to choose four options through online system by the teachers and no recommendation would be entertained from any corner. He urged upon the elected leaders not to interfere in transfer and postings of teachers.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by Upper Yachuli Development Committee (UYDC), Tedir assured to take up the issue of upgradaiton of Loth Middle school to Secondary level.
“Cooperation with co-existence, peace and tranquillity is the mantra of all development,” Tedir said and sought support and cooperation from the people saying that the state government is ready to work for all round development of the State.
Agriculture, Horticulture & Dairy Development Minister Tage Taki said that with the laying of the foundation stone for the circle headquarter, development initiatives began for the area.
Taki also explained in details about several hurdles faced earlier in execution of the TAH project in the district.
MLAs Kento Jini, Tarin Dakpe, Balo Raja, DC Chukhu Takar, UYDC Chairman Tania Tajing, youth leader Tania Agu, also spoke on the occasion.
Later talking to media, the DC informed that tender process for two packages of the TAH has already completed and work began. He appealed the people to cooperate with the administration and further warned to initiate legal action who would create hindrance in execution of work of the TAH from Potin to Anya gate, Anya gate to Pamluk.
