Third round of vote counting training in Tawang to the counting supervisors and counting assistants

ITANAGAR: The third round of training on the counting of votes, postal ballots and ETPB were imparted to the counting supervisors and counting assistants in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Dochora Lama advised the officials to pay attention to whatever is being taught during the training, an official communiqué said. “On the day votes counting, though senior officers will be there to monitor and supervise, yet you should be able to perform your duty without any errors,” Lama said while dwelling on valid and invalid postal votes.

Assistant Electoral Returning Officer (AERO) Dr Dechin Droka read out the instructions received from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office, about sealing, handling of VVPAT and how to count five randomly picked VVPAT paper slips from each constituency. Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Sang Khandu also spoke on the occasion, the communiqué added.
