Three burglars arrested by police in Pasighat

PASIGHAT: East Siang SP Sumit Kr. Jha informed that three house burglars were arrested and stolen goods were recovered within 24 hours. SP said that on March 23, a complaint was lodged by one Kayam Mitkong from Borguli, under the Mebo subdivision, that some miscreants had entered their house at night and taken away their valuable goods, including one licence. 22-bore gun, handsaw wood cutter, local ornaments, and one airgun were among the prominent things the couple left behind when they were not at home.

Taking cognizance of the matter, FIR Number 03/2023 u/s 380/457 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Mebo. Under the supervision of SDPO Pasighat Pankaj Lamba, IPS, a team headed by OC PS Mebo Aditya Chandra (SI) was constituted to work out the case on a priority basis. Through human and technical intelligence, the team was able to nab all three culprits and recover all the stolen items from their conscious possession.
