Three isolation wards set up at Miao in order to accommodate and treat COVID-19

DIGBOI: Miao Sub-Divisional administration headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tage Rumi on the advice of Deputy Commissioner, Changlang and in compliance to Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh vide letter No. FNO/ COVID - 19/ SCR/ GEN/01, dated March 24 has identified three locations as Isolation wards here in Miao in order to accommodate and treat COVID-19 suspects as preventive measures.

The old building of CHC, Miao with a capacity for 30 persons, the school building and creche building at Tibetan Chophelling Settlement (TR Camp), 3 kilometres from Miao township are operational from Thursday.

The Tibetans who are back to their settlement camp recently from various metropolitan cities would be quarantined exceptionally in both isolation wards at TR Camp while the Chakma settlers of Dharmapur Blocks, Bijoypur, Deban and Miao who have also come back from various cities and thoroughly screened at Namchick Police check gate are being strictly monitored. The suspects after screening would now be quarantined in isolation ward at CHC, Miao for 21 days said the Miao EAC.

On the other hand the Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma and Superintendent of Police Mihin Gambo jointly inspected the police check gates of the district including Namdang, Namchik, Bordumsa and Modoi to ensure effective and meaningful implementation of various advisories and orders issued from time to time by the State government.
