Toppers in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh return laptops; DC constitutes probe panel

ITANAGAR: Toppers of classes X and XII in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, who appeared in the CBSE examinations this year, have reportedly returned the laptops awarded to them to the DC office. The toppers were awarded laptops at a function organized by the district education department on June 20. The students complained that they could not use the laptops due to technical malfunctions and found abusive materials stored in the laptops. In a written complaint to the DC, they alleged that laptops showed severe signs of wear and tear, scratches, ill fitment, malfunctioning charging slots and batteries, vulgar videos stored, voice recording, and the names and signatures of previous users.
