Town Planning Minister Kamlung Mosang lauds Smart City authorities

ITANAGAR: Urban Development & Housing and Town Planning Minister Kamlung Mosang on Wednesday appreciated the authorities of Itanagar Smart City project for constructing cement concrete pavement road in the State capital.

Inaugurating a road from Panchali to Lobi via Khola Camp here under Smart City project, the minister informed that out of 27 km of total roads, a stretch of over 2.5 km is being inaugurated during the day and the rest would be completed in time.

“Around 20 sectors and colonies will have a all weather road on completion of this project,” he said and expressed satisfaction on the quality of the work done and appreciated the Smart City team for bringing respite to people of Lobi, Panchali and Khola camp area as it was very difficult for them to communicate during the monsoon period through the road.

The minister assured to look after other amenities like retaining wall and drain along the road.

Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso who was also present on the occasion, thanked the public for their cooperation during the construction of the road by not plying their vehicles.

He asked the public to maintain the road as their property and further requested the people not to resort to illegal earth cutting on the road side while asking the DC to take stringent action against such violators.

UD & Housing Secretary Sonal Swaroop, CEO Smart City Project Bhanu Prabha, Capital Complex DC Komkar Dulom, joint CEO of Smart City project and engineers of Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) were also present on the occasion.
