ITANAGAR: The team of Trans Arunachal drive, which started their ride on May 5 at Pangsau pass in the Indo-Myanmar border of Changlang district, on Monday, drove to Menchuka under Si-Yomi district after it reached Kamba in West Siang district on Sunday.

At Kamba, the team was received by Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak along with DC Penga Tato and SP Thuten Jamba among others. The team led by Lakpa Tsering in his brief speech recalled that Trans Arunachal was the vision of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu. The event is being jointly organized by the state tourism department and Mahindra & Mahindra company whith the theme 'One Ride One Arunachal and East to West Arunachal', an official communiqué informed here.

One of the riders said that Arunachal is a paradise and the people of the state are friendly and peace loving. He added that the state would soon become the tourist hotspot in near future, when the Trans Arunachal Highway would be completed. The Lumbergini car could be driven in the eastern parts of Arunachal while in the western part, roads are on the verge of completion. The team halted at Kambu village to well acquaint with the local cuisines. The riders appreciated the hospitality given by the locals of Kamba and Kambu village.
