Two-day photo exhibition organized to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in Arunachal

ITANAGAR A two-day photo exhibition on 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Meri Mati Mera Desh, Har Ghar Tiranga, and Nine Years of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan' began at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) here on Friday. The exhibition, organized by the regional office of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), under the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry, was inaugurated by the cluster head of Akashvani in the state, N. Ramanjanappa. Speaking on the occasion, Ramanjanappa said that the photo exhibition is exhibiting many pictures from the pre-independence era that are not easily available. He said that the display of the pictures would definitely help the spectators visualise and understand the situation under which independence was achieved.

On this occasion, school principal A. Krishnan shared his view that the government has been doing a lot for the development of the northeast and the nation as a whole. He appealed to the participants to take full advantage of the exhibition and try to enhance their knowledge about India's past. Earlier, CBC regional office in-charge Rakesh Doley briefed about the aims and objectives of the exhibition and said that it aimed at showcasing some of the important historical events in India's freedom struggle as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Doley added that the exhibition also aimed at celebrating the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign and appealed to all to be a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from August 13 to 15.

The Associate Editor of the Echo of Arunachal, Tapan Kumar Das, was also present at the inaugural function as a special guest. On the occasion, a pledge was administered as a part of the Meri Mati, Mera Desh initiative, and national flags were distributed to all the participants as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
