ITANAGAR: Two more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh pushing the total caseload in the State to 16, 853. The fresh cases were detected from Upper Subansiri and Capital Complex region through RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Test. Meanwhile, one more person recuperated from the infection taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 16,786, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa on Wednesday.

Currently, the State has 11 active cases, while 56 people died due to the contagion so far. The recovery and positivity rates are 99.60 per cent and 0.065 per cent respectively.

Altogether, 4,15,217 samples have been tested so far, including 259 on Tuesday, added Dr Jampa.

Meanwhile, a total of 96,887 persons have been inoculated in the State so far including, 4,439 on Tuesday, since the vaccination drive began in January this year, informed State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung.
