NAHARLAGUN: The ULTYF (United Leil Tara Youth Foundation, on Friday, organized a candlelight march in solidarity and also to commemorate the first death anniversary of Techi Meena and her unborn baby, who were ghastly murdered in broad daylight at Kasingsa.

The accused presented the murder as a 'car accident'. The State Police later decoded the case as a 'pre-planned murder'. Meena, who was seven-month pregnant. Techi Meena was found dead inside a Toyota Innova car near the Karsingsa block point, around 25 km from the capital city in November last year.

Speaking to the reporters, ULTYF president Tana Sushil Tara said that they believe and have faith in the law of the land that the members of the deceased's family justice will get justice.

He also informed that one of the accused, Chumi Taya, had filed an IA (Interlocutory Application) on November 3. However, the Court rejected the IA, he added.

An 'IA' is an application moved in the main petition when an accused asks for some urgent relief or to focus new facts to the knowledge of the Court on a particular case.

He appealed to the public to support the family members of the deceased. He pointed out that a year passed after the incident took place.
