Water Resources Development Minister Mama Natung inaugurates WRD office at Pangin

PANGIN: Arunachal Pradesh's Water Resources Development (WRD) Minister Mama Natung inaugurated the WRD Division Office at Pangin in the Siang district on Tuesday and gave an assurance to provide sufficient manpower for smooth functioning of the office.

While appreciating the executing agency for constructing the double-storey building with minimal funds of Rs 94.42 lakh, the Minister asserted that the district has set an example of Minimum Government and Maximum Governance by utilizing the funds judiciously for development. Stating that, he assured to provide sufficient manpower soon for the office.

Further, responding to a query, the Minister informed groundwork for a permanent office building as well as residential quarters for the staff of Chief Engineer, WRD Eastern Zone at Miao in the Changlang district, is being done. The Chief Engineer's officer has already been shifted and is operating from the Old IB at Miao. However, the Government is working on strategies for the construction of a permanent office building. Chief Minister Pema Khandu had laid the foundation stone for the office of the Chief Engineer, WRD & RWD Eastern Zone on April 25, 2018. Among others, MLA Ojing Tasing, Talem Taboh , Kumsi Sidisow , CE,WRD(CZ) Getom Borang, PRI leaders and other officials of the WRD attended the event.
