West Siang DC Swetika Sachan launches free WiFi at Mopin Ground

Itanagar: Free WiFi put up by the Central Mopin celebration committee (CMCC) in and around the Mopin celebration ground at Aalo, the headquarters of West Siang district, was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan amid fanfare and gaiety on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the innovative measures taken by the committee to promote the rich culture of Galo through social media to attract the flow of tourism to the district.

She exhorted the members of the community to work out such innovative measures from time to time for global viewership of such rich culture.

CMCC president Nyiken and general secretary Jumge Ete disclosed that The WiFi facility is free, which is an effort to connect with the rest of the world on Mopin festival celebration and further appealed all members to connect and subscribe ‘YouTube’ under CMCC Aalo Mopin to get better connectivity with the people for promoting the age-old culture, an official release informed here.
