West Siang to Host Maiden Eco-tourism & Angling Fest

Itanagar: The tiny Darak Circle in West Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh is buzzing with hectic activity to host the maiden eco-tourism-cum-angling festival at Sibu-Siyik confluence from October 23 to 25.

The three-day festival is jointly organized by Lodu Ao Welfare Society and Young Mission Adventure Club to open up sightseeing to holy site of Benji Liine, Penru (Bat Cave), Tak Soi (Pigeon Home), trekking, hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, cultural shows and exhibition of local cuisines at reasonable rates.

Many angling experts from different places are likely to take part in the angling competition that will provide cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 to three best anglers of the festival.

Paid tents are also being arranged at riverside and other places for halt to adventure loving guests, an official communique informed.

Young Mission Adventure Club Chairman Yomjum Yomgam, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Nyakar Raksap, LAWS President Bidu Poyom and Convenor Bade Potom have appealed anglers and adventure loving people to be a part of three day long maiden event in the district.
