10 persons test COVID-19 positive in Barpeta district

BARPETA: Ten persons have tested COVID-19 positive in Barpeta district. They are -Mantu Kumar Das, (59), DDS, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of Metuakuchi, Jania Road, Barpeta; Mamata Badyakar (25), Metuakuchi, Jania Road, Barpeta; Deepjyoti Das (24), Keotkuchi, Barpeta; Mantu Das (46), Circle Inspector of Police, Barpeta Road; Toufik Rahman (9), Surajit Kalita (46), Sandip Sutradhar ( 5), Samsul Haque (70), Hasmat Ali (26) and Ujjal Saha (24) from Barpeta Road.

A sub-inspector of police had to allegedly stay at home after testing positive. Bakul Ingti, who returned from COVID duty in Kokrajhar, was informed on July 5 that he was COVID-19 positive. But he was allegedly not shifted to FAAMCH, Barpeta. He is under home quarantine since the past six days.
