LAKHIMPUR: A total of 104 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Lakhimpur on Monday and Tuesday. Out of them, 36 patients were detected positive as per real time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (rRT-PCR) Test result while rest 68 patients were found positive through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted in various places under the district during the last two days.
Notably, two TET teachers, one working at Dalgaon and the other in the native district, were detected positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. With these 104 newly-detected patients, the number of total COVID-19 cases in the district has spiked to 2,364. Of them, 1,580 patients have been discharged while 784 are active cases.
