110th Xuwori festival celebrated in Boko

BOKO: The 110th Xuwori Festival was held in Boko on Wednesday. The day-long festival is held on the occasion of the Assamese new year celebration.

Thousands of people from Kamrup, Goalpara and other places arrived and enjoyed the festival. Due to the COVID pandemic, the Xuwori festival was not celebrated for the last two years. But this time people celebrated with happiness and gaiety. Moreover, traditional dance troupes performed Boro, Garo, Rabha, Koch and Bihu dances in the festival. Traditional games were also held.
