113 litres of illicit liquor; 2,200 kg of fermented wash destroyed

RANGIA: To make Kamrup free from illicit liquor excise raid continued in different parts of the district. As a part of this operation Excise department has raided various places of the district namely 26 no Colony of Amingaon Market, Lathiya Park and Bangshor from July 28 till date.

During this operation two persons have been sent to judicial custody filing FIR under section 53 (1) a of Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

On the other hand, approximately 113 litre illicit liquor and 2,200 kg fermented wash were destroyed in the operation. According to Department sources, the raids against illicit liquor and drugs will continue.
