UDALGURI: The COVID situation in Udalguri district is rapidly deteriorating and the number of cases has spiked to 296.

Among them, 250 have been discharged from hospitals after recovery. The 14 persons who tested positive in Udalguri on Wednesday are Bikash Chhetry, Binod Chhetry, Devimaya Chhetry, Biki Boro, Ripen Daimari, Dhimen Daimari, Kanchan Deka, Khagendra Ch Das, Ramani Nath, Devakinandan Kumar, Amar Kr Nayak, Narendra Kr Paswan, Sanjib Sonowal and Januki Devi. Eight persons were discharged from hospitals. They are Manoj Paul, Papan Paul, Rinku Paul, Deepa Paul, Gitashree Paul, Arabinda Koiri, Saniya Rai and Priyanka Lahakar. Total 45 patients are under treatment in various hospitals and one person died of COVID-19 in Udalguri.
