SILCHAR: In view of APSC competitive combined main examination in Cachar on July 8, 9, 10 and apprehension of breach of peace and public tranquility, 144Cr PC is clamped within 100 metre radius of the examination centre in Cachar. District magistrate, Cachar, Rohan Kumar Jha issued a prohibitory order here on Friday, which states that Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) combined competitive (Main) Examination 2022 in Cachar district will be held on July 8, 9 and 10 at Silchar Government Girls & M.P School.
It further stated that there is an apprehension of breach of peace and public tranquility due to massive gathering of candidates, their guardians and well-wishers around the examination centre. Several prohibitions under Section 144 of the Indian Code of Criminal Procedure was also mentioned in the order which states, “No assembly of three or more persons except candidates and authorized persons shall be allowed within a radius of 100 meters of the examination centre. Entry of unauthorized persons inside the examination centre is prohibited. No weapons, explosives or any other suspicious material shall be carried within 100 meters radius of the examination centre. Unauthorized vehicular movement and illegal parking shall not be allowed within a radius of 100 meters of the examination centre.
Loudspeakers and high decibel sound producing devices shall not be used within a radius of 200 meters. Any contravention of this order shall be punishable under the provisions of law and the order shall be effective on the dates for conducting the examination centre.
TEZPUR: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive Final Examination 2022 will be held from July 8 to July 10, 2023 at Darang College, Tezpur in Sonitpur district.
According to a directive issued by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Deba Kumar Mishra under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code of India, candidates sitting for the examination with valid admission cards should be signed by the appropriate authorities, observers, employees and monitoring teams related to the examination. The presence of people other than government officials and employees involved in discipline and essential services is prohibited.
Candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phones, calculators, or any other communication devices such as Bluetooth, etc. inside the examination centre. In addition, no food outlets or shops will be allowed to open within a radius of 100 meters of the examination centres.
Furthermore, no person other than the supervising staff of the examination centre shall be permitted to assist the candidates in taking up their assigned seats. This instruction shall be displayed in front of the entrance of the examination centre for public view and violation of this order shall be punishable by law.
