BISWANATH CHARIALI: With a two-day long programme on February 13 and 14, the 15th annual session of Nepali Sahitya Sabha concluded at Samannay Sadhak Hari Gajurel Kshetra, Golia, Biswanath Chariali on Sunday. The session discussed good number of issues of the community ranging from intellectual development to educational development and also formation of a greater Assamese community. The delegates also urged the government to undertake necessary steps for resolving the problems of the Gorkha community. A new executive body was formed in the delegate session with Durga Khatiyara as President, Dr Chintamani Sharma as Working President and Rudra Boral as General Secretary. Earlier, the session commenced on Saturday with flag hoisting followed by smriti tarpan. A multi-lingual poetry session was held with Chandra Luitel in the chair. As many as 20 books and a wall magazine were released during the annual session.
