16 Students Of NIT Srinagar To Visit Assam For A Weeklong Exposure

GUWAHATI: As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) pilot programme, 16 students from various departments at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Thursday went for a week-long exposure journey to Assam.

The students will receive a multi-dimensional introduction to five themes during the trip: tourism, traditions, development, prodyogik (technology), and paraspar sampark (people-to-people connect).

The exposure tour is intended to encourage respect and understanding for other cultures, according to Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Sehgal, director of NIT Srinagar. According to him, these initiatives will unite individuals from various backgrounds and foster harmony.

On being chosen for the renowned Yuva Sangam Tour under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, he blessed kids with his blessings. According to him, it will offer an immersive experience of various parts of life, historical milestones, and recent accomplishments.

These trips, according to Professor Sehgal, are crucial for the overall growth of a person and a country. The pupils from all over India will develop traits of fraternity and understanding, he claimed.

According to the institute's registrar, Prof. Syed Kaiser Bukhari, such exposure will help students learn about different cultures and diversities and be of great advantage to them. In addition to congratulating the chosen students, Prof. Bukhari said that it is the ideal approach for them to learn and advance their knowledge.

According to him, these programmes give students the opportunity to learn about and experience different languages, customs, clothing, traditions, and cuisines. According to Prof. Bukhari, "the spirit of mutual understanding among people with a common history has created a remarkable unity in diversity that stands out as a tall flame of nationhood that needs to be fed in the future."

IIT Guwahati is the partnered institution, and IIT Jammu is the nodal higher education institution for Jammu and Kashmir (for the pilot tour). The Nodal Officer of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Rout, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (EBSB).

He said that 16 out of the 121 students who registered for the Yuva Sangam Portal were chosen. Students will visit IIT Guwahati, Raj Bhavan in Kharghuli Hills, workshops, exchanges, and cultural programmes throughout the five-day excursion.

The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme is meant to strengthen people-to-people connections, notably between youth.

The government has linked 11 higher education institutions from the North East with 14 from the rest of the nation as part of this scheme.
