161 new COVID cases detected in Sivasagar district

DEMOW: A total of 161 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Sivasagar district on Wednesday.

According to sources, there were 925 active cases in the district till Wednesday. Total 752 patients are under home isolation, 64 in Sivasagar Civil Hospital, 15 in Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital, 8 in Amguri CHC, 9 in ONGC, 4 in AMCH, 1 in Aditya N Home, DBR, 67 in Demow Polytechnic, 1 in Sanjibani, DBR, 1 in JMCH and 3 in Brahmaputra Hospital, Dibrugarh.

Total 98 patients were discharged on Wednesday. According to a health Official of Demow, 81 patients were admitted in the COVID Care Centre (CCC) set up in Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution in Demow Barua Chagmai Gaon.

Bishnu Kamal Borah, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar district, Dr.Shyamanta Madhab Sarma, Joint Director Health Service, Sivasagar and Dr.Hemanta Barua visited the Demow Model Hospital and COVID Care Centre (CCC) set up in Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution in Demow Barua Chagmai Gaon on Wednesday.
