170 kilograms of contraband ganja seized by Darrang Police

MANGALDAI: In their continuing intensified drive against the anti- social criminal elements, Darrang Police seized 170 kilograms of contraband ganja and arrested three smugglers in this connection. As per the instruction of Superintendent of Police Prakash Sonowal, a joint team of Dalgaon and Kharupetia Police led by both the Officer in Charge Inspector Manoranjan Gogoi and Inspector Rajib Barua conducted a raid at Jangalgaon village of Besimari under Dalgaon Police Station on Friday night and seized the ganja contained in nine bags and arrested the smugglers under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
