17th edition of Rongali Buwari Bihu Sanmilani held in Udalguri

TANGLA: The 17th edition of Rongali Bihu organized by the Tangla Anchalik Buwari Bihu Sanmilani concluded with a day-long event at Tangla town in the Udalguri district on Sunday with huge enthusiasm and gaiety. The programme begin with hoisting of permanent committee flag by the president of the celebration committee, Ranjana Sarma Baruah followed by sports competitions among women and children. The event was graced as distinguished guest by former Paneri MLA, Kamali Basumatary and writer Anupama Deka. The Jeng Bihu competitions witnessed participation by several groups from various parts of Darrang and Udalguri districts.

“We have been providing a platform to the women participants to showcase their talents through the initiative ,” said secretary of the celebration committee, Ritamoni Barman Talukdar.
