19 illicit liquor dens busted in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: In a biggest ever excise raid conducted in Tinsukia district by combined personnel of Army, CRPF, Assam Police and Excise at Talap Laina village under Doomdooma revenue circle, as many as 19 chulaibhatis (illicit liquor den) were busted and 38,000 litres of fermented wash (FW) were destroyed on Friday.

The raids were conducted under supervision of Niluram Sarma, Executive Magistrate, Tinsukia, and assisted by Dibya Jyoti Dutta, officer-in-charge of Doomdooma PS, and Jayanta Kakoty, Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Tinsukia.
