1st death anniversary of Jamini Kr Narzary observed in Kokrajhar

The 1st death anniversary of Jamini Kr. Narzary, father of Mihiniswar Basumatary, CEM of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) was observed on Saturday morning at his residence, Khagrabari in Kokrajhar district.

KOKRAJHAR: The 1st death anniversary of Jamini Kr. Narzary, father of Mihiniswar Basumatary, CEM of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) was observed on Saturday morning at his residence, Khagrabari in Kokrajhar district. Late Narzary, retired head master was associated with different Bodo organizations and had many contributions to the society. He died on October 21, 2022 at the age of 85 due to old age ailment.

As part of the 1st death anniversary programme, a prayer service was held as per religious sermon of Brahma Dharma. Nameswari Narzary, wife of late Jamini Kr. Narzary paid floral tribute at the portrait of her husband. Local intellectuals and well wishers also paid tribute to late Narzary.

Late Jamini Kr. Narzary was a retired headmaster of Banargaon ME School. He was the founder member of Banargaon High School and was the president of Banargaon Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) for two consecutive terms. Besides, he was associated with different social organizations and he was widely respected in the locality for being a social worker.

Meanwhile, the 1st death anniversary of late Jamini Kr. Narzary was also observed at Sanjari Nwgwr, Simen Chapori in Dhemaji district. The prayer service and memorial lecture was organized by United Bodo People’s Organization (UBPO). The Deputy Chairman of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) Srijwn Basumatary paid glowing tribute and CEM of BKWAC Mihiniswar Basumatary, son of late Jamini Kr Narzary also offered floral tribute where the president of the United Bodo People’s Organization (UBPO) Manuranjan Bssumatary and treasurer of UBPO and secretary of Ex-BLT Welfare Society of undivided Lakhimpur district Bisturam Narzary and other leaders also paid tribute. A memorial lecture was also held.
