2 Die of COVID in Sonitpur District, 230 New Cases Detected

TEZPUR: Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Tuesday. They have been identified as Subodh Laskar (65), resident of Pirakata, Dhekiajuli and Toujul Islam, a 2 month and 10 days old baby of Gudamghat in Sonitpur, who died in TMCH, taking the death toll to 141 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 7,859 tests were done across the district on Tuesday out of which 7,377 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 230 positive cases found, 220 cases were from RAT and 10 from RT-PCR.
