2 die of COVID in Sonitpur district, new cases detected 165

TEZPUR: Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Sunday. They have been identified as Idrish Ali (74), resident of Puniani, Salmora, Tezpur and Khargeswar Das (67), resident of Ulubari, Thelamara who died in TMCH, taking the death toll to 110 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 2,725 tests were done across the district on Sunday out of which 2,651 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 165 positive cases found, 147 cases were from RAT and 18 from RT-PCR.
