Guwahati: In a road accident at Boko, two people have tragically lost their lives. The two men have reportedly died on the spot after their vehicle collided with a tree. The vehicle was a Bolero pickup van that was allegedly delivering apples.
As per reports, the two men along with the driver are still trapped in the van. The van, bearing the registration number AS 17C 4880, had met with the accident in the morning of August 26, 2021.
An inquiry has been started by the police regarding the incident.
Recently, road accidents have been a regular occurrence in Assam. On August 17, two people died, while one was critically injured, in a road accident that had taken place at National Highway 31 (C) under Serfanguri police station. The deceased are identified as Dipankar Ray (27) and Jyotimay Ray (15).
In earlier news, a fatal accident that took place at the Saraighat Bridge in Amingaon had claimed two lives after the vehicle hit the railings and fell down 50 ft below. The victims of this car accident were residents of Sipajhar identified as Ruzima Begum and Fakrul Hussain.
