GORESWAR: Altogether eight candidates filed their nominations for Rangiya LAC. Bhagaban Dev Misra for Communist Party of India (Marxist), Sahabuddin Ali as independent candidate, Bhabesh Kalita for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Hareswar Barman as independent, Jayanta Kumar Kalita as independent, Dr. Babul Sahariya for Assam Jatiya Parisad, Pabitra Boro for Voters Party International (VPI) and Biswajit Brahma for Janata Dal (United) filed their nomination papers for Rangiya LAC in Kamrup (R) district.
On the other hand, altogether 12 candidates filed nomination papers for Tamulpur LAC. Lehu Ram Boro for United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), Yaswanta Chouhan as independent, Nilomani Rajbangshi as independent, Satyanath Kalita as independent, Royen Narzary as independent, Dimbeswar Rabha as independent, Kanak Basumatary for VPI, Nagen Chandra Das as independent, Rangja Khungur Basumatary for Bodoland People's Front (BPF), Keshab Chandra Rajbangshi as independent, Ramcharan Deka as independent and Nirmala Das for Bharatiya Gana Parisad (BGP) filed nominations papers for Tamulpur LAC in Baksa district.
